Jason ultimately arrived at the décor shop, only to find Anna and her grandmother enjoying manual cookies with tea. It was still early since the shop wasn't open until 9.00 a.m. for clients to come in.
Daisy: Good morning, Jason. Glad to see you this early.
Jason: Good morning. It wasn't a problem; I hope I didn't come too early.
Daisy: No! you didn’t. Please, have a seat and let me bring you some homespun cookies.
Jason: Good morning, Anna.
Anna: Good morning (she responded as she moved down). Grandma, let me go to the coming room and check out some rustic decors for the shop.
Daisy: Okay. We shall join you shortly.
After many eyeblinks,
Daisy: I hope you enjoy the cookies (she said while handing over next to where he sat).
Jason: I'm sure they're stylish as always.
Daisy: I'm sorry about Anna’s address towards you. Life has been tough on her since the incident.
Jason: I relatively understand. Either, we met again before this morning. Latterly, her mama invited me for breakfast; which discussion at the table made her relatively on edge.
Daisy: Anna needs time to heal. She's still stuck on her past and how her life had been before the accident. It makes it more delicate for her to accept change and move forward, since it was her mother's idea, to involve her at the décor shop. I agree with her.
Jason: Well, I also heard that you need help with providing interior design services to your clients. Let's say that's my specialty.
Daisy: I appreciate your help. Still, I understand that you were among the stylish in the metropolises. I'm not sure if I can swing you at the moment. This is a small city and this shop provides enough to take care of my family, not enough to hire two people and pay them.
Jason: I understand and that’s why I came up with a proposition.
Daisy: Which kind of proposition?
Jason: My suggestion is to look for new clients in your décor shop. This, in turn, leads to a supplemental stipend on my side. It will involve expanding the business to a niche in the market.
Daisy: That sounds a reasonable or rather a good idea.
Jason: Perfect, I'll explain to you in due time. It involves more interior designing and décor services; rather than just dealing with rustic furniture. Do you not suppose?
Daisy: I understand you completely. Nonetheless, I'm not suitable to move around that much at my age.
Anna: I can help with that grandmother. No need to worry.
She suddenly appeared from nowhere, as though she had eavesdropped on their conversation.
Daisy: Are you sure my dear? I mean, it will be intensive.
Anna: No worries, I am capable. Furthermore, Jason will be my mentor. Right?
Daisy: Jason, are you okay with the suggestion?
Jason: (seemingly confused towards Anna’s reaction) sure… no problem. If she is okay with it, then so am I?
Anna: I am sorry for eavesdropping on you earlier in your conversation. However, I concur with what Jason is saying. Grandma's times have changed, in addition to Jason's offer and expertise; I also came up with another suggestion.
Daisy: I am listening ( seemingly curious about her granddaughter’s interest in the décor ).
Anna: Well, I figured I can assist in promoting the shop online through social media. I have been teaching myself a lot about digital marketing and DIY Interior décor at home. It helps me relax my mind a bit.
Jason: Well, that’s an excellent idea. Don’t you think?
Daisy: Let me think about it on the social media aspect. However, we may try the expansion first and see how it goes under one condition.
Anna: Which condition grandma?
Daisy: (She gazed towards Jason) My condition is that you will take care of my granddaughter and mentor her throughout the process. This is since I may decide to take some days off more than usual for a doctor's appointment.
Jason: That’s fine with me, I understand.
Anna: Me too, Grandmother, you need to rest more. We shall take care of the shop.
Daisy: It won’t be soon enough. I will still be around the décor shop. This has been my haven almost throughout my life; mostly after your grandpa’s death.
Tears rolled down her cheeks, as Anna moved slowly and hugged her grandma. She completely understood why the décor meant so much to her grandma; hence this increased her will to help whatever best way in the décor shop.
Jason, on the other hand, excused himself from the women. Shortly after, he headed towards a separate room to make a phone call.
